HOME HEALTH STUDY

Our research provides you with a cleaner, healthier home!

Your Healthy Home Starts Here™

Did you know that 1 in 5 Americans (roughly 60 million) are afflicted with allergies or asthma? Even if your furniture appears clean, it is still home to bacteria and contaminants that can affect your family, especially if they suffer from allergies or asthma. Carpets, rugs, and upholstery are essentially giant air filters that trap allergens and bacteria deep in the fabric’s fibers. Just like an air filter, carpets can become full of these trapped contaminants over time, so they must be properly cleaned!

While cleaning and vacuuming your home are essential, it is recommended that your carpets, rugs, and upholstery are professionally cleaned every 3-4 months. Our cleaning at CJ’s Chem-Dry removes common household allergens and bacteria, which can significantly improve the air quality in your home.

Chem-Dry’s Home Health Study

Our mission is to help all people in Anoka and Hennepin County, MN, and the surrounding suburbs live in clean and healthy environments. In order to help us achieve this mission, we had to make sure that our cleaning processes provide the most effective results. So, we had an independent laboratory test our core cleaning methods against some of the most common and unhealthy contaminants found in homes — allergens and bacteria. We’re excited to share the results of our study with you!

Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning

The lab tested Chem-Dry’s Hot Carbonating Extraction (HCE) cleaning process that’s used to clean carpets and upholstery. The lab found that we remove an average of 98.1% of common household allergens from carpets and upholstery.* The lab also discovered that when sanitizer is added to the HCE process, we remove an average of 89% of airborne bacteria in the home and 82.3% of bacteria in carpets.*

At CJ’s Chem-Dry, we use our revolutionary P.U.R.T  for pet urine stain removal in Anoka County and Hennepin County. The lab conducted multiple tests of P.U.R.T. on common pet odor sources — dog and cat urine. The lab found that P.U.R.T. removes an average of 99.9% of pet urine odors from carpets.* When used with our HCE process and a sanitizer, P.U.R.T. removes an average of 99.2% of the bacteria from pet urine stains in carpets.*
